As a Florida native, Jim has spent a lifetime immersed in ranching and day-working with his family. Upon graduation, he served his country in the US Army. Cathy grew up in a military family, living all over the world. They met and were married in 1985. Cathy came to know Christ as a teenager while attending a youth conference and Jim while stationed in Germany. 

 

After prayer and thoughtful consideration, they both entered full-time ministry in 1993 upon leaving the service. Over the years, the couple has served churches in Germany, Florida, Texas, and Alabama.
